Ruth Ann Johnson Seawright age 63, passed away peacefully on June 9,2017 following a brave and fierce battle with cancer. Ruth was born on October 4,1953 in Elkhart Indiana, the daughter of Arlene and Henry Greer. Ruth loved reading books of all kinds. Being engaged in politics and outreach in her community at an early age through Project Reach in North Cohocton NY. Ruth participated in sit-ins, marches, debates and exchanging ideals with everyone. The voice of what was right a humanitarian and activist. Ruth meant her husband Jerry Seawright of 38 years of whom is the love of her life. They created a strong family with honor and love. Ruth thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her husband, children, family and friends, cooking delicious and lavish meals that would satisfy your taste buds, fill your stomach and feed your soul as well. Ruth was a member of The Divine Tabernacle of Faith Church. Ruth is Predeceased by her mother and father Arlene and Henry Greer, daughter Sharrussa Seawright, son David Wright Jr. and brother in law Rodger Seawright. Ruth is survived by her husband Jerry Seawright, brother McKinley(Naomi)Branch, sister Clara Green, three daughters Elizabeth Wright, Shayla Johnson, Christel(Rufus)Jackson, grand children Shayla Wright, Byron Davis, Larrussa Davis, Kilah Wade, Amali Jackson. Great grands Ryland Robinson and Nory B Davis. Mother in law Ida Wilma Seawright, sister and brother in laws Essa Seawright, Ida Mae Seawright, James Seawright, Emmanuel Seawright, Connie Seawright, Voncile Seawright, Aunt Cindy Batzing.
