Arthur Brooks' Life Journey

(Birth)

On April 18, 1942 in Greenville, Alabama, the late Arthur Sr, and Carrie Lee Brooks were blessed with a baby boy. They named him Arthur, which means noble, courageous, and strong as a bear.

(Love)

He was affectionately known as Be-Be and relocated to Rochester, NY where he would met and fall in love with a beautiful young lady, Ms. Rosie Mae Crittenden. They were joined in holy matrimony on April 9, 1966. To this union three children were born: Arthur III, Dennis, and the baby Jennifer.

(Life)

Arthur worked in construction at Kodak Park over 20 years for Eastman Kodak until he retired. He later joined the driving force of Regional Transit Service (RTS) and he enjoyed transporting students to school while driving for First Student and Irondequoit School System. He was known for his humor and his ability to give great advice. He was a dedicated Deacon and member of his church, St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He and Rosie enjoyed traveling from the North to the South. He loved both Rochester, New York and Leesburg, Florida so much he decided to live in both places. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, siblings, other family, and friends. Family Reunions was an exciting and favorite time of year.

(Home Going)

On April 27, 2017, at 6:12 pm, Jesus came and escorted Arthur to his heavenly home. His work on earth was done. Arthur taught us how to Live, Laugh, and LOVE on purpose. He touched so many people with his kind words and gentle guidance. A Home Going to honor a man who was respected as the protector, the provider, and the patriarch of his family.

(Remembered)

He was preceded in glory by his parents Arthur Sr, and Carrie L. Brooks, and five siblings: Robert Brooks, Ernest Brooks, Clara Crittenden, Alice Pettway, and Benjamin Brooks.
