Please share a memory of Lakasaski to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, April 30th, 2023, Lakaski Scott, fondly known as "Kaske" was called home at the age of 64 to be with the Lord. He succumbed to cancer surrounded by his loving family. The world has lost a great father, brother, husband, son, and friend.
Lakaski was born in Andrews, SC on December 16, 1958 to the late Thomas J. Scott and Barbara Jean Dickerson-Scott. He attended Benjamin Franklin High School of Rochester, NY. After completing his high school education, Lakaski worked at Wegmans warehouse as a forklift driver until his retirement.
Lakaski was a good cook and loved to eat, there was not much of anything that he would not eat. He was known for his famous fried chicken and gizzards. Growing up Lakaski loved playing basketball, roller skating, and bike riding. He took pleasure out of harassing his younger sister Wanda every morning before going to school by dragging her out of the bathroom because she was taking too long to get dress. His favorite football team was the Buffalo Bills, which he enjoyed watching along with his brothers, son, and close friends. Lakaski loved listening to music and dancing in his leisure time. Some of his favorite artists, were Earth Wind and Fire, Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, and Candi Staton, to name a few.
Lakaski had a gentle soul and was soft spoken. He was family oriented and loved his family very much, there was nothing he would not do for his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He was hard working, compassionate towards everyone, his kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Lakaski is predeceased by his loving and devoted wife Vivian Jacque - Scott and his daughter Latoya Jacque.
Lakaski leaves to cherish in his memory his three children, Sherise Jacque (Eric) Tanisha Bellamy (Wayne), Darryl (Porshia) Jacque, and bonus daughter Chanel (David) White.
