Obituary of Anita Winstead

Anita Mae Winstead was born in Rochester, NY at Strong Memorial Hospital on June 18th, 1964, to parents Gwendolyn Alfreda Owens (pre-deceased) and Willie Mack (pre-deceased). Anita was an active member of her church, The, Church House of Levites, and was a giving member of her community, often supporting the Salvation Army during the holiday seasons. Anita often could be found in church or with her grandkids as those were the things she loved to do in her spare time. Being a sibling to 9, she was always a call away. As a mom to 6 she kept herself busy, often making herself available at their needs. Anita leaves behind 5 of her children, Michael R. Allen, Savonne (Darryl) Ross, Alexis R. Winstead, Niaya N. Winstead, & Nathaniel J. Williams to mourn, and is predeceased by her son Eric. J. Williams. Anita is survived by her siblings; Darrell (Violet) Winstead, Lasans Kirkland, Denise Winstead, Darlene Winstead, Michelle Owens, Justina Owens, Desiree (Dennis) Brown, Anita Danzy, & Sharon Howard who will miss her tremendously. Anita's grandchildren, Nyairh Allen, Mikaysjah Allen, Mikere Allen, Nevaeh Reeves, Emony Williams, Erica Williams, Amenah Alexander, Saevion Wilder, Michael Winstead, Quamel Winstead, London Winstead, Rozlyn Winstead, & Raheem Winstead are left behind to cherish the memories they have with their grandmother. After her lengthy battle with her illness, Anita was sent home peacefully and leaves behind a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will miss her dearly. Anita's family would like to extend our fond appreciation for all those who came out to wish her a fond farewell.
