Obituary of Pearlean Davis

Pearlean Davis Sr. 89 of Rochester New York, passed away March 30, 2021, with her family by her side. Pearlean Davis Sr. was born to the late Ernest Smith Sr. and Nellie Brown, September 28, 1931 in DeSoto Georgia. She relocated to Rochester New York in 1941. Pearlean Sr. is survived by five children: Sammie Stevens Sr. of Rochester; Pearlean Davis Jr of Rochester; Dorothy Davis of Rochester; James Davis, of Auburn, AL; and Dianne Davis of Rochester. She is predeceased by son Robert Davis Jr. Pearlean Sr. is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren. She is predeceased by grandsons Andre and Sharrowl Davis. Pearlean Sr. is also survived by sixty-four great-grandchildren and fifty-two great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by four siblings: Bennie Brown of Rochester; Robert Brown of Rochester; Betty Slater of Rochester; and Barbara Jean of Rochester. Pearlean Sr. is predeceased by five siblings: Ernest Smith Jr. (Bru); James Brown (Tiger); Edward Brown; Otha Jewel Brown: Mildred (Brown) Scott; and recently deceased sibling Willie Brown of Rochester. Pearlean Sr. is survived by a host of nieces and nephews; special friends Bernice Sanders of Rochester; Gwendolyn Walkers of Rochester; Mary Walker of Rochester; and Doris Oliver of Rochester. She was very fond of her pet dog Lady. Pearlean Sr. worked at the University of Rochester in Environmental Services Department for 17 years. She attended Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Center under the leadership of Bishop Willie Smith Jr. and was a faithful member for many years. Pearlean Sr. made an impact on the lives of everyone she encountered. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Pearlean Sr. will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Pearlean Sr. name to the Wilmot Cancer Center.
